The Hare Krishna Movement, Akshaya Patra Foundation and Touchstone Foundation began its activities at Bhilai-Raipur in the year 2009. The three are independent trusts with some common trustees and form three separate verticals of activities. These three separate and individual trusts have their own independent objectives and all of them have been working in their fields to contribute towards the betterment of our society in their own chosen areas of work.

A Beautiful temple at Bhilai and a centre at Raipur Civil lines are the places where people congregate to participate and experience the various activities ranging from daily aratis and kirtans, weekend special satsang programs, Festivals.A goshala with more than 40 cows and calves are also part of the Bhilai temple campus and they are all very well taken care off.
Akshaya Patra Foundation
Akshaya patra Foundation is a not for profit organization engaged in providing mid day meals to
govt school children in various parts of India.
At Bhilai its operations commenced in the year 2009 and is currently feeding more than 25000 children everyday in about 175 schools around a radius of more than 20 kms from its kitchen complex.
A state of the art kitchen complex has been set up at Bhilai wherein large quantities of rice, dal and vegetables are cooked in huge cauldrons and then packed into stainless steel containers and delivered to the govt school which is then served to the students from class 1 to 8 during the lunch break. A hygienic and nutritious meal which is a basic need of child is thereby provided for by the efficient and well managed operations of the Akshaya Patra Foundation.
During the Lockdown in the year 2020 free meals worth more than 1 crore rupees have been distributed among the poor and needy people of Durg and Raipur district.

Touchstone Foundation
Touchstone Foundation is a trust that’s mainly into catering activities which aims to promote cooking and supply of healthy vegetarian and sattvic food in a clean and hygienic way among diverse sections of society. The trust operates Pan India through its associated trusts or through its own branches. All proceeds or profits accrued from its catering activities are 100% used for the promotion of various charitable, cultural and spiritual causes
Touchstone Foundation during the covid lockdown in the years 2020/2021 has provided meals to corona patients at govt run Covid centres at Raipur and Durg dist. It has also provided meals to affected people at their residences.
Meals ranging from 200 to 5000 plates have been provided on a daily basis during this lockdown period.

They have played a very important role during the pandemic!
