Paving the way for an eco-friendly nation – Food Cure
In the words of the founder – Sarang
“Growing up as a kid I dreamt of owning a fancy 7-star hotel someday, Holding on to it tight I completed my education and started working for Zomato. After a year of good honest work, I shifted to Raipur to finally launch my own restaurant. The very sparkle of my eye coming to life. However, things took an abrupt turn as I started facing loss after loss. And just like I was back to square one. With my head held low, I shifted to Pune and started working with Swiggy for a new beginning. Working with Swiggy got me closer to food and its packaging. This eventually leads to the birth of Merkaba a consumer service company, with FOODCURE as its first Eco – Friendly Food Packaging Brand.
PLASTIC, a monster we are trying ward off is growing stronger. With plastic dominating our lives, it would be true to say that paper is losing its voice. The plastic cups, glasses, etc in the ocean injures and kills fish, seabirds, disturbing marine life Tipping the very balance of nature, plastic is the worst enemy of the environment right now. Throwing light on the past years, plastic has emerged as the most preferred choice of packaging material for various food products and restaurants. A good amount of plastic water that accumulates on daily basis consists of food packaging items like cups, bowls, glasses, etc. As scary as it sounds, people across the world unwittingly consume roughly 5 grams of plastic each week in the course of daily life, or about the weight of a credit card, according to Australian researchers. That’s about 250 grams per year—more than a half-pound of plastic every 12 months.
Taking into account the above crisis, FoodCure wishes to change this scenario with our eco-friendly packaging solutions. Our mission is simply to eliminate the plastic from your food experience while curing the environment and your health along the way. Foodcure believes that health is not just about what you eat but also what its served in or well packed in. Giving back all that we take form the environment, we ensure our products are usable sustainable, recyclable, reusable, and compostable. With each product purchased from FoodCure, the

The kid who dreamt of a fancy 7-star restaurant would never have agreed to an eco-friendly food packaging company. But I guess somewhere along with my struggle I realized that great business is not only about selling great products but also being a part of something greater. At FOODCURE we believe even the tiniest thing possesses power and the smallest choices make a difference. I, Sarang with FoodCure am on a mission to make India plastic-free by 2022. Certainly, the war against plastic is going to be a long and hard one to win, and your contribution is undoubtedly crucial. Hence, with paper as the captain of our ship, we invite you to come on board and join hands against plastic. Its time plastic shut’s up, it’s time paper talks!”
