Amanat Foundation, NGO – Chhattisgarh
Amanat Foundation is a Non-Government Organization (NGO), actively working on various levels of society and is chiefly devoted to fulfilling goals such as empowerment of women, student, and youth welfare, and spreading awareness regarding humanitarian causes. It was established under the Chhattisgarh Society Registration Act, 1973 on 20th January 2021. The operational headquarter of the foundation is situated in Raipur, Chhattisgarh but the organization has been active on a pan-India scale for the last three years, that is, 2018. The main force behind its overarching success is the grass root level reach of the organization’s volunteers which consists mainly of the youth and social work enthusiasts. Amanat Foundation is marching ahead on the path to fulfill its missions, slowly but steadily.
Their main constituents for ‘PRAGATI’ are the rural women of Chhattisgarh. These women are skilled in making traditional ornaments which are in low demand in the state but sell for much higher prices outside of the state.
It is an initiative by the women and for the women. The women in rural areas of Chhattisgarh like Rajim, Gariyaband, etc. are their main skill forces, who labor their craft to produce unimaginable delightful ornaments. These women are also becoming self-dependent by producing handmade food products like pickles, fritters, papadoms, etc. They plan to sell these food products to other national and international markets to provide even more employment opportunities for these underappreciated women.
